Love Had Rules (People Broke Them)

Barcelona is very good at selling romance, but its more interesting love stories are rarely about sunsets and famous monuments. This walk follows six places where affection collided with rules: nightlife outside respectable norms, courtship printed as cheap popular comedy, a public kiss assembled from thousands of private photographs, marriage split across religious and civil paperwork, a flower fair that evolved into a lovers' ritual, and a street whose romantic name still has no proven explanation. The route is playful, but the evidence gets the last word — including when the evidence says we simply do not know.
