On arrival
Pause near Kristenova 27 where you can look along the street without blocking school access.
Look closer
Compare the short setbacks, low buildings and irregular older street rhythm with the larger twentieth-century housing visible farther out in Komín.
A bureaucratic street-name history accidentally preserves the sentence: you are standing 'in the village'.
Walk a few steps to Kristenova 27 and let the old address do the storytelling. Municipal records show that this street was officially called V dědině from 1928 — literally 'in the village'. After wartime renaming it returned briefly to V dědině in 1945, then became Kristenova in 1946. School records place generations of local education here under both names. That matters because old settlements often survive less dramatically than castles or churches: in street width, plot rhythm, schools, houses and the memory embedded in addresses. Look along Kristenova rather than at one facade. The stop is about reading an urban street as the former main line of a village.
Accessibility at this stop
Public pavement stop near an active school. Pavement width, crossings and school-time crowding require current human verification.
