This walk follows two overlapping histories on Zaragoza's western side: the medieval expansion around San Pablo and the work of Muslim and converted master builders whose names survive in the record. After the 1118 conquest, Muslim residents who chose to remain had to move outside the Roman walls, forming the Morería. In the thirteenth century the planned Población del Rey grew around San Pablo with a strong commercial character, while archaeological research identifies this western suburb and the neighbouring Morería as important pottery-production zones in Islamic Zaragoza. Later records document a formal confraternity of Mudéjar master builders founded in 1503 and individual masters including Mahoma Ramí, Farax Galí and Alí Alcahududi, later Juan de Lanuza. The route ends at San Pablo's brick tower, while keeping debated origins, local traditions and legends clearly labelled as such.
