Even official dates can disagree

On arrival

Stand in the public approach between the old Caminreal station and the current Zaragoza-Delicias complex, without entering controlled railway areas.

Look closer

Compare the old station's low horizontal brick composition, arches and tower with the immense modern terminal rising immediately behind it.

Transparency is part of the tour: two official Zaragoza sources give different inauguration dates.

The small brick station beside the modern terminal is the old Caminreal or Delicias station, designed by Luis Gutiérrez Soto and protected as a rationalist railway building. It also gives Streetours a useful lesson in source discipline. Zaragoza Tourism says it was inaugurated in 1932. A municipal heritage sheet says the works finished in January 1933 and gives an opening date of 2 April 1933. Both are official sources, and on the evidence available here there is no good reason to hide the mismatch. So we do not choose a winner. Instead, inspect the building itself: horizontal lines, brick, tiled roofs and the compact station scale remain clear whatever the disputed year. Historical precision sometimes means admitting that the paperwork does not line up.

Accessibility at this stop

Use public station approaches only. Construction, security boundaries and step-free access around the heritage building require current verification.
