Nothing on this walk became culture by accident. Someone selected it, financed it, renamed it, adapted it or opened it to a different public. Your final question is not what culture is, but whose decisions you are still walking through.
Brno gave Leoš Janáček plenty to listen to long before anyone carried headphones through the city. He wrote down market voices as music, heard public conflict turn into a piano work, filled a hall with a mass that sounded anything but conventional, and kept listening on ordinary walks almost until the end of his life. This six-stop route follows that habit rather than offering a standard composer biography. Look at buildings, people and trees, then notice what your ears are already collecting. The city is the score; your job is to catch it in the act.
